Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Expected in NJ Over Next Three Days

A marginal risk of severe thunderstorms with the potential for devastating straight-line wind gusts has been issued by the National Weather Service.

About 5 to 10 degrees above average for this time of year, high temperatures will reach the low to mid-80s.

The weather pattern remains unstable on Wednesday, with a greater likelihood of showers and thunderstorms during the day and night. Rainfall totals are predicted to be between one and two inches, with greater amounts possible locally.
The upper 70s to mid-80s will continue to be the mildest temperature range. Conditions will remain damp and humid as a cold front moves slowly through the region.

The region is expected to have the most rainfall on Thursday as the stormy pattern persists.

Temperatures will decrease significantly in the afternoon, rising to the mid-seventies to approximately eighty degrees. Through Saturday, there is still a risk of showers because the cold front will stall south of the region.
According to the extended forecast, there will be more uncertainty over the weekend and in the first part of next week.

Although a broad high pressure system is anticipated to form, which could result in more stable circumstances, the weather in the area may be impacted by tropical system activity in the western Atlantic.

Residents should keep up with weather changes and be ready for possible flooding in urban and poorly drained regions. Check the latest forecast in your area.
