Brave Efforts Lead to Heroic Rescue in Stafford Township Fire
According to Stafford Township Police Department during the response to the February 13, 2026 fire in Stafford Township, Sgt. Woodring, SMPO Brown, Ptl. Otte, and Ptl. O’Rourke encountered an individual attempting to escape the fire by jumping from a second-story outdoor balcony.
Through their quick thinking, teamwork, and selfless actions, the officers were able to safely catch the individual and prevent serious injury or loss of life.
The attached body-worn camera footage captures the intensity of this rapidly unfolding emergency and the decisive actions taken by responding officers.
“This incident is a powerful example of the dedication and courage of our officers,” said Chief James Haldenwang.
“What these officers did was truly amazing. Their quick, selfless actions undoubtedly saved this man’s life, and I am awestruck by the heroics displayed.”
While this incident tragically resulted in the loss of life, we extend our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones affected.
