Additional Snow Expected in New Jersey Following Recent Blizzard
Two winter weather concerns have emerged to compound the agony as the Garden State recovers from the epic blizzard that dumped 30 inches of snow in certain areas of the region.
The
National Weather Service predicts that up to three inches of snow might fall overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning, making the commute likely to be slick.
A "fast moving system" will deliver snow to the region early on Wednesday morning, mostly to locations north and close to the I-78 corridor, according to the
NWS. The morning commute could be slick, according to forecasters.
"While snow totals will not be as significant as the nor'easter, any streets and sidewalks that have recently been cleaned of any snow can become snow coated again, especially from Pennsylvania to Maine," according to
Accuweather.
On Thursday, the Garden State may see rain and snow, according to forecasters.Following the clipper storm, another swift-moving storm is expected to enter the Midwest on Wednesday night and make its way to the eastern United States later on Thursday and into Thursday night, according to
Accuweather. "A strip of snow north of the storm track can be sustained by cold air in the area. A combination of rain, snow, and ice could be the precipitation on the southern edge of the cold.
