NJ Weather Forecast: Snow and Freezing Rain on the Way
The most recent forecast indicates that New Jerseyans will have a slick morning commute on Tuesday due to snow and freezing rain.
The
National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the counties of Salem, Hunterdon, Somerset, Mercer, Sussex, Warren, Morris, Gloucester, Camden, and northwestern Burlington through Tuesday AM.
Although there won't be any large accumulations, Tuesday is predicted to bring ice and slick roads.
According to National Weather Service predictions, precipitation will change to plain rain in the afternoon.
Fortunately, the National Weather Service predicts a "substantial warmup" by midweek. Forecasters predicted that temperatures could rise to the upper 50s or upper 60s by Thursday. Because of the chilly water, coastal areas will continue to be below that.
Additionally, there will be multiple opportunities for rain throughout the week, but because of the current drought conditions, forecasts predict that this rain will primarily be helpful.
The
National Weather Service predicts that highs during the weekend will mostly stay in the 60s and 70s. Check the latest
