Tragic Crash on Route 70 Leaves One Woman Dead, Two Others Injured
A collision that closed Route 70 in Wall for almost four hours on Thursday night resulted in the death of a Brick Township woman and the injuries of two other women, including another Brick resident, according to police.
According to
Wall Township Police, the collision on Route 70 at Morningstar Road occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. on March 6th.
Officers attempted to save the life of a 58-year-old Brick woman who was discovered unconscious and removed from her car, according to police. After being brought to a hospital, she was declared deceased at 6:28 p.m.
According to Wall Lt. Steven Nash , a 51-year-old Brick woman received treatment for wrist, head, and facial injuries.
The third driver, a 22-year-old Manasquan woman, was uninjured according to Nash.

He stated that the inquiry was aided by the Serious Collision Analysis Response Team of the
Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
By around nine o'clock at night, Route 70 was reopened, according to Nash.
