

Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Suspect in Deadly Morristown Hit‑and‑Run
MORRISTOWN, N.J. — Authorities are searching for a 33‑year‑old Morristown man accused of fleeing the scene of a fatal crash that left one person dead early Thursday morning.
Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Morristown Police Chief Darnell Richardson announced that Wilson “Adrian” Morocho‑Necta has been charged in connection with the deadly hit‑and‑run. Investigators say Necta remains at large and are urging the public to assist in locating him.
The crash occurred around 6:53 a.m. on March 20, 2026, when Morristown Police, Fire, and EMS responded to Sussex Avenue at Speedwell Place for reports of a person pinned beneath a truck. The victim was rushed to Morristown Medical Center, where they were later pronounced dead.
According to investigators, the driver of the truck fled the scene on foot. A joint investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Morristown Police Department, and Morris County Sheriff’s Office identified the alleged driver as Necta.
