Toms River Man Arrested for Stealing Boat Engine

According to Lakewood Police Department, on Wednesday, a Toms River man was charged with stealing a boat engine from a marina near Lake Carasaljo.

William M. Cottrell, 41, was taken into custody on Tuesday in relation to the theft that occurred on April 23.

According to authorities, the Mercury boat engine was stolen at Traveling Tykes Marina. According to authorities, the engine had been taken out of a marina-owned boat.

After Lakewood investigators finally recognized the suspect as Cottrell, he was taken into custody and charged with theft and burglary, according to the police.
