14-Year-Old Boy Reported Missing While Swimming During School Trip at Jersey Shore
On Monday, while on a school trip in New Jersey, a 14-year-old boy went missing while swimming off a beach in Wildwood.
Around 1:35 p.m., authorities received a complaint about swimmers in danger close to the beach and Schellenger Avenue. According to authorities, a police officer went into the water and assisted three swimmers in getting out. A 14-year-old youngster was still unaccounted for, though.

In a thorough search that took hours, the U.S. Coast Guard used boats and aircraft to scour waters roughly 500 yards offshore near Morey's Piers. New Jersey State Police also provided assistance, searching the coastline with all-terrain vehicles and drones.
Carter was in Wildwood on a class trip, according to family members.Kenya Pippen, his grandmother, recalled, "He came down here to Wildwood on a class trip."
Pippen stated that due to their specific needs, the pupils on the trip needed strict monitoring. Due to their specific needs, every youngster who visited the beach received a one-on-one, she said.
Pippen claims that Carter was with a family member who momentarily went to get lunch and was unaware that the adolescent had gone into the water. She said that a total of four kids were swimming toward a flag in the ocean. No staff member entered the water with any of the kids, as far as I'm aware," Pippen stated. No lifeguards were on duty.
