12-year-old Xavier Taylor, is still in critical condition after an incident at a baseball game.

Xavier, a Maple Shade Youth Baseball player, was hurt on Tuesday when a ball struck his neck during warm-ups, according to his family. He is still in the intensive care unit at Cooper University Hospital after being evacuated there from the field.
Hundreds of friends, neighbors, and colleagues gathered at Fellowship Columbia Bank Field, the scene of the incident, for a prayer vigil that featured candles, music, and encouraging words. Many of the spectators had shirts with Xavier's number six on them. One speaker declared, "We are here tonight to hoist him up in prayer, strength, hope, and love." "We learn collaboration, support, and perseverance from baseball, and that's exactly what we're doing for Xavier tonight."

As they continue to concentrate on Xavier's recuperation, the Taylor family expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support. Our ultimate objective is for our son to return to this field, but I could not have asked for or imagined such support at this time.

The young boy remains in extremely critical condition while on a ventilator.
