Iyanna Asia Fairfax: Forever Loved, Forever Light Community rallies around grieving family as they seek support for a beautiful life gone too soon.
The Toms River and Freehold communities are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Iyanna Asia Fairfax, a vibrant, creative, and deeply loving young woman whose presence left an unmistakable glow on everyone she met. At just 26 years old, Iyanna’s life ended far too soon, leaving her family and friends shattered, yet surrounded by an outpouring of love from across New Jersey and beyond.

Her family describes Iyanna as “a cherished daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, friend, and a truly unique soul whose light touched everyone who knew her.” She was someone who made people feel seen, valued, and loved — the kind of person whose absence leaves a silence impossible to fill.
In the days leading up to the tragic news, the community came together in a powerful way — sharing Iyanna’s story, reposting updates, reaching out, searching, and praying for her safe return. Her family expressed deep gratitude for every act of kindness, saying Iyanna “came back home to us — not in the way we prayed for, but she made it home.”
As her loved ones begin navigating unimaginable grief, they are asking for privacy while also reaching out for support to give Iyanna the beautiful homegoing she deserves. A GoFundMe has been created by her family to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, allowing them to honor her life with the dignity, love, and care she always gave to others.
Every donation — no matter the size — helps ease the burden during this devastating time. For those unable to contribute financially, the family asks simply for continued prayers and shares of the fundraiser.

Iyanna will be remembered for her warmth, her creativity, her kindness, and the way she made people feel loved. Her family’s message is clear: she will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Born June 4, 2000, she left this world on June 26, 2026. Funeral information will be shared as soon as arrangements are finalized.
