According to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, the woman had been reported missing earlier in the afternoon, prompting a coordinated search involving patrol units, communications, and the K9 team.

Officer Vosseller deployed K9 Guy—one of the department’s trained scent‑tracking bloodhounds—who immediately picked up the woman’s trail. The pair worked tirelessly for four hours, navigating fences, backyards, and thick brush before Guy led Vosseller into a wooded patch where the woman was found alert and unharmed. EMS evaluated her at the scene before she was reunited with her family.
