Kevin Kennedy Obituary

Kevin F. Kennedy, 56 of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away on July 23, 2026. Born in Kearny, New Jersey and moving to Lavallette as a child, he then settled in Toms River after he was married. Kevin graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Ocean County College, and then joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He was a lifelong carpenter since the age of 15. He was recognized after the apprenticeship program and on his first union job was promoted to a management position. He was currently a construction superintendent with M&M Construction in Cranford, New Jersey. He is survived by his loving wife, Kristine, their son and best friend Jack, his mother, Carolyn Larsen, his dad, Ron Sikkema, his father, William Kennedy, his sister, Taryn Sickel and her husband, Rob, his nephews Mattix and Brody, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jeanne and Theodore Bessler 

Family and friends are respectively invited to attend the viewing held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Timothy Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine  Blvd. Toms River, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow to St.  Joseph Cemetery. Toms River, NJ.

There will be future plans in September for a paddle out in his memory. He was a true Waterman since childhood… surfer, lifeguard, fisherman. He was lucky enough to grow up on an island surrounded by water and with many lifelong friends that share all of those fun memories growing up.
