Toms River Baseball Legend Todd Frazier Returns to Yankee Stadium for Old-Timers’ Day

BRONX, N.Y. — A familiar name to baseball fans in Toms River was back at Yankee Stadium on Saturday as local baseball legend Todd Frazier took part in the New York Yankees’ 78th Old-Timers’ Day.

Frazier, a longtime Toms River standout and former Yankees third baseman, was among the former players welcomed back to the Bronx for the annual celebration of Yankees history.

The 2026 event marked Frazier’s first appearance as an Old-Timer, according to the Yankees. He joined a star-studded group that included Hall of Famers Mariano Rivera and Joe Torre, along with Yankees legends such as Andy Pettitte, Jorge Posada, Bernie Williams, Paul O’Neill, Tino Martinez, Hideki Matsui, Johnny Damon, Nick Swisher and Dwight Gooden.

Long before playing in Major League Baseball, Frazier became a hometown baseball hero as a member of the Toms River East Little League team that won the 1998 Little League World Series. His success continued through high school and eventually led him to a professional career that included two All-Star selections and a stint wearing the famous Yankees pinstripes.

Frazier joined the Yankees in 2017 after being acquired from the Chicago White Sox. During his time in New York, he quickly became a fan favorite, earning the nickname “The Toddfather” while helping the Yankees reach the American League Championship Series.

Today, Frazier remains connected to baseball as a youth coach and broadcaster with the YES Network.

His return to Yankee Stadium on Saturday gave Yankees fans another opportunity to celebrate his playing career — while giving Toms River fans a chance to see one of their hometown sports heroes recognized on one of baseball’s biggest stages.

The Old-Timers’ Day festivities featured traditional player introductions followed by an alumni baseball game.

For a kid who grew up playing baseball in Toms River, standing on the field at Yankee Stadium as part of Yankees history was another memorable chapter in an already remarkable baseball journey.
