

BEACH HAVEN, NJ — One of Long Beach Island’s most beloved traditions is back this fall as the Beach Haven Chowder Cook-Off returns for a full weekend of chowder tasting, shopping, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun along the Taylor Avenue Waterfront.
The festivities kick off with the Merchant’s Mart on Saturday, October 3 from 10 AM to 5 PM, offering free admission for a full day of browsing local vendors, artisans, food trucks, and specialty merchants. Visitors can enjoy beer, wine, seltzers, food, shopping, and live music while exploring dozens of booths showcasing the best of the Jersey Shore’s small businesses.
On Sunday, October 4 from 11 AM to 4 PM, the spotlight shifts to the highly anticipated Cook-Off Classic, where 12 local restaurants compete for chowder supremacy. Attendees can sample red, white, and creative chowder varieties as tasting returns for another year of friendly competition. The waterfront will once again be filled with live entertainment, drinks, food vendors, and the unmistakable energy of Chowderfest weekend.
The event is rain or shine, ensuring the tradition continues regardless of weather.
