Ursula “Sandie” Keating, 56, of Toms River, passed away tragically on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Her obituary was published by Silverton Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Toms River on September 21.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Sandie was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Cislak) Adametz. She spent part of her life in Garfield before making Toms River her home in 2010.
Sandie built a career in administrative work and most recently served as a secretary at Central Jersey Hand in Freehold. She had a deep love of music and especially enjoyed attending concerts, with country music among her favorites.
She treasured spending time with her family and enjoyed vacations to Disney and trips to the beach. For Sandie, being surrounded by the people she loved was what mattered most.
Earlier in life, Sandie volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician with the Garfield Ambulance Corp. She was also previously involved with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Garfield Fire Department, Company Number 3.
She is survived by her beloved husband, John, with whom she shared 43 years and 25 years of marriage, along with their children, Colin and Jordyn, all of Toms River. Sandie is also survived by her brother, John Adametz III; mother-in-law, Judi Keating; sister-in-law, Kelly Keating; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place Friday, September 25, beginning at 3 p.m. at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 2482 Church Road in Toms River. A concluding prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
At the family's request, cremation services will remain private.
In place of flowers, the family asks those wishing to honor Sandie's memory to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice. According to her family, Sandie would have wanted those who knew her to continue helping others, something she frequently did herself.
