State officials say the storm’s most dangerous conditions — including the strongest winds and highest tides — will peak tonight through Saturday morning, with impacts felt statewide.

The Governor’s office reports:

1–2 inches of rain expected across North Jersey
2–4 inches of rain likely along coastal counties
Multiple rounds of tidal flooding in back‑bay communities
High surf, dangerous rip currents, and beach erosion along the Shore

With saturated ground and rising tides, flooding is likely, especially in low‑lying neighborhoods and areas with poor drainage.
