Seaside Heights Police Seize 2 Handguns, a Taser, and Cocaine

According to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, two Seaside Heights citizens were arrested on drug distribution and firearms charges.

The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced Tuesday that two persons are facing drug distribution charges after investigators confiscated cocaine, a revolver, and a taser during a raid at a Seaside Heights house.

Prosecutor Bradley J. Billhimer said Jimmey Bryant Jr., 22, and Ceeyanna Pringle, 18, both of Seaside Heights, were arrested March 18 after a two-month investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Strike Force and the Seaside Heights Police Department.

Bryant and Pringle were found to be using a residence for distribution, according to the inquiry.

A court-authorized search warrant was performed at the residence by detectives from the strike force and Seaside Heights detectives and patrol officers, as well as the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit.

According to Billhimer, the officers seized 20 grams of cocaine powder, 20 grams of crack cocaine, a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun, a conducted energy device (commonly known as a taser), and a digital scale.

According to him, the investigation led to a search of a nearby home, where detectives discovered a second semi-automatic weapon with a loaded 30-round magazine. According to Billhimer, more charges are expected to be filed.

Bryant was charged with possessing cocaine with intent to distribute, possessing more than 1 ounce of marijuana with intent to distribute, possessing cocaine, possessing a weapon while committing a controlled dangerous substance offense, possessing with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of school property, possessing with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a public park, and possessing with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of a public park.

Bryant was also discovered to have two outstanding arrest warrants for aggravated assault with a weapon in connection with a separate incident in Seaside Heights in March 2021, according to him. Bryant is being kept in the Ocean County Jail until a detention hearing is scheduled.

Pringle faces charges of possessing cocaine with intent to distribute, possessing more than 1 ounce of marijuana with intent to distribute, possessing cocaine, possessing a weapon while committing a controlled dangerous substance offense, possessing with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of school property, possessing with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a public park, and possessing with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of a public park.

She was charged with a summons and freed until a subsequent court date.

The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Asset Forfeiture Unit aided the police involved in the investigation and search warrant execution, according to the prosecutor's office.
