Authorities say a 28-year-old male was killed in a crash on Route 9 in Bass River on Thursday night.

Kyle R. Gormley, 28, was travelling south when his Chevrolet Malibu lost control, went off the road to the right, and collided with wooden posts and a utility pole at 11:15 p.m., according to State Police.

Following the incident at mile marker 59.7, Gormley, of Tuckerton, was confirmed deceased.
