The name of the 28-year-old driver who died in a horrific truck crash after swerving off the road and into the woods has been released by police.

On November 6, Kishon Richards, 28, of Toms River, was driving eastbound on Jackson Mills Road around 6:15 p.m. Richards went off the road and slammed the railing near the interstate overpass for an unexplained cause, according to authorities. The truck continued off the road before crashing into trees in a wooded area.

When officers arrived, they discovered a 2009 Ford Ranger that had crashed into a wooded area, with Richards partially ejected from the vehicle. Richards was not wearing a seat belt, according to authorities.

Richards was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment where he later passed away from his injuries.

Anyone who may have any additional information for this incident is asked to contact police at 732-928-1111.
