After being injured in a single-vehicle incident early Saturday morning in Manchester Township, a Howell Township resident is in critical condition.
According to an investigation by
Manchester Police, Sean Page, 21, was driving a silver 2001 Ford Taurus along Route 571 when he lost control of the vehicle while navigating a turn and crashed into a tree.
Page's vehicle continued on after the initial accident, colliding with a smaller tree before coming to a stop in a forested area at the Ridgeway Road property border.
Because Page was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident, he was partially thrown from the Ford Taurus.
According to authorities, he was transported by ambulance to a landing zone before being taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
Page was critically injured in the crash and was still in serious condition on Saturday afternoon.
The investigation into the incident is still underway, however speeding looks to be a significant issue, according to Manchester Police.
