New Jersey is expecting additional rain after a storm dumped over 3 inches of rain during Mother's Day weekend. According to the National Weather Service, the state might see rain from Thursday night to Monday.
As of Thursday afternoon, the weather service had no rainfall forecast. However, experts predict a probability of showers after 11 p.m. Thursday, with rain continuing through Monday.The National Weather Service predicts modest coastal flooding in Monmouth and Ocean Counties on Sunday. However, no flood watches or warnings have been issued for the state.
Those with weekend plans that are weather-dependent have reason to be optimistic. Throughout the next two days, much of the state will see barely 30 to 40 percent rainfall. However, the next entirely sunny day isn't until Tuesday, and forecasts expect overcast skies during the blood moon on Sunday night.TOMS RIVER FORECAST:
