According to the company, the recalled products, which were sold in one-liter glass bottles, tested higher above the FDA's recommended action threshold for inorganic arsenic in apple juice. The best-by dates for the recalled items are March 9 and March 10, 2026.

The recalled products were distributed in Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Lousiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. It was also distributed abroad in Panama.

The Food and Drug Administration states that arsenic is harmful to humans and can harm individuals of any age or health condition. The degree of arsenic in the food, the age of the consumer, the length, amount, and frequency of exposure to the food, and any concurrent exposures to other contaminants, beneficial nutrients, or arsenic from other sources all influence the likelihood of long-term negative health effects from eating food contaminated with arsenic.

According to recent studies, inorganic arsenic poses a greater risk to human health than organic arsenic and has more detrimental effects. Arsenic with carbon is found in organic arsenic compounds, which are unrelated to organic farming methods.
