Robert Louis Spadaro, a dedicated FDNY Marine Pilot, passed away suddenly on March 16, 2026 in Austin, Texas. Born on August 4, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York moving to Toms River, New Jersey in 1976. He began his career as a merchant marine, which gave him the credentials to work on tugboats as a deckhand. He worked for the McAllister Brothers in the New York Harbor and also served aboard the Circle Line and the Staten Island Ferry, gaining extensive experience on the waters of New York City.

Armed Bank Robber in Ocean County Has Been Arrested

According to Lacey Police Department, the individual who committed an armed robbery at TD Bank in Lacey Township on March 9 has been apprehended.

According to authorities, a man with a gun entered the bank that day and demanded money from a bank teller. He left on foot after stealing an undisclosed sum of money.

On March 26, Lacey investigators and the US Marshals NY/NJ Regional Task Force apprehended that man, identified as 58-year-old Kenneth Grant of South Toms River, in Essex County.
Additionally, it was found that Grant had attempted, but failed, an armed robbery at PNC Bank on Lacey Road in Forked River previous to the TD Bank robbery, according to the police.

Grant was accused of armed robbery, possessing a firearm for an illegal purpose, possessing a weapon illegally, and making terrorist threats.

For the attempted robbery at PNC Bank, he was also charged with criminal attempt-armed robbery.

Grant is currently being held in the Ocean County Jail.
