According to Lakehurst Police Department, following an argument at the Lakehurst Wawa, a man from Lakehurst flashed a machete at individuals, prompting police to arrest him on weapons charges on Tuesday.
Police were summoned to the store at
601 Union Ave. at 2:06 p.m. after a conflict, and Eric Jablonski, 35, was taken into custody there, according to Lakehurst Police Chief Matthew J. Kline.
After responding, Police Officer Anthony Florio, Detective Madelyn Poss, and Sgt. Jason Guide located and apprehended Jablonski, the man who fit the description of the person holding the machete, according to Kline.
According to Jablonski, the inquiry uncovered a machete in a rucksack that was on the ground close to him.
Jablonski is accused of causing a physically dangerous situation, unlawfully possessing a weapon, and disorderly conduct, according to Kline. Once at the Lakehurst police headquarters, he underwent processing and was subsequently remanded to the Ocean County Jail.
