Authorities Recover Body of Missing Clammer After Extensive Search in N.J.
The body of a 64-year-old Pennsylvania man who disappeared while clamming earlier this week was recovered from Sandy Hook Bay on Wednesday, according to New Jersey State Police.
According to State Police Sgt. 1st Class Charles Marchan, troopers were notified around 4:06 p.m. Wednesday after a boater passing through the area reported finding a body in the bay.
Authorities identified the man as
Eric Daviduk of Southampton, Pennsylvania.
Marchan said Daviduk was last seen Monday near the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Marina. No additional information was immediately released.
A search-and-rescue effort began Monday morning after Daviduk’s unoccupied commercial clamming boat was spotted floating near the Seastreak pier at approximately 10:45 a.m.
