Body Discovered on Popular Hiking Trail in New Jersey: Investigation Underway

Prosecutors said a dead body was discovered on a well-known hiking path in Morris County on Wednesday.

Authorities were notified of an unconscious person discovered on Patriots' Path, which is located across from Coal Avenue in Morristown, on Wednesday at approximately 3 p.m.

According to officials, the victim was later discovered deceased.

No new information has been made public as of yet, and the situation is still being investigated.

More than 70 miles of hiking, cycling, and riding trails make up Patriots' Path, which follows the South Branch of the Raritan River and the corridors of the Black and Whippany Rivers.
