Champs Sports to Close Doors at Ocean County Mall
A somber announcement that Champs Sports in the Ocean County Mall would be closing January 2024 was made to patrons.
Alongside the announcement came an alluring bargain with 50% off items.
As of 2019,
Champs Sports, which is well-known for offering an extensive selection of athletic goods, clothing, footwear, equipment, and accessories, had more than 500 locations spread throughout the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. CNN, however, has revealed that 125 of these outlets would close by 2024.
In 2024, 125 Champs Sports locations throughout the US will close, according to a CNN article.
Within the next two years, its parent company Footlocker intends to close 400 locations.
