TRENTON, N.J.— Authorities are investigating after seven people were injured in a late-night shooting Tuesday in Trenton, New Jersey.

Police say the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Furman and Center Streets, where investigators later found shell casings scattered across the roadway.

Officials report that the victims include two teenagers—one male and one female—along with individuals aged 22, 24, 29, 30, and 35. All seven victims were transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment.

According to police, six of the victims are currently in stable condition, while one remains in critical but stable condition.

Trenton Police Department Director Steve Wilson said early evidence suggests more than one shooter may have been involved.

“Preliminary investigation suggests that there were multiple shooters involved due to separate locations where shell casings were recovered,” Wilson stated.

Authorities also confirmed that four unoccupied vehicles were struck by gunfire during the incident.

At this time, investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
