Charles Henry Tice III, lovingly known as “Chuck” to family and friends, passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 59.
Born on October 18, 1966, Chuck was a lifelong resident of Toms River, New Jersey. He was deeply rooted in the community he called home and built a life centered around family, hard work, and the simple joys of the outdoors.
Chuck dedicated nearly 40 years of his career to Michael J. Wright Construction, where he served as a respected Project Manager. Known for his strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and willingness to help others, he earned the respect and friendship of countless colleagues throughout his career.
Above all, Chuck cherished his family. He was a proud and devoted father to his sons, Charles Henry Tice IV and Jacob Tice. He was especially happy to celebrate the recent marriage of his son Charles to his wife, Emily, earlier this September, welcoming Emily into the family with great pride and love.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Charles Henry Tice Jr.; his stepmother, Nancie Tice; and his mother, Kathleen Clements.
He leaves behind his beloved sons, Charles Henry Tice IV and Jacob Tice; their mother, Nicole Tice; his daughter-in-law, Emily Tice; his brother, Edward Tice; and his sisters, Jennifer Quinn, Dawn Neuls, Bonnie DiGaudio, and Susan Magee. He is also survived by four nieces, one nephew, a great-niece, and a great-nephew, all of whom will miss his presence, humor, and unwavering love.
Chuck had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time canoeing and riding ATVs. Whether on the water, on a trail, or simply enjoying the company of friends and family, he embraced life with a spirit of adventure. By his side through it all was his faithful companion, Sadie, the beloved dog who rarely left his side and brought him endless companionship and joy.
Those who knew Chuck will remember his quiet strength, generous heart, and deep dedication to the people he loved. His memory will live on in the stories shared by family and friends, the lessons he taught through example, and the lasting impact he made on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
