Community Rallies Around Keating Family After Tragic Loss of Ursula Keating

John Keating and his family have dedicated their lives to assisting others, John has dedicated his life as a Police Officer, Volunteer Fire Chief, EMT, and Career Firefighter has answered the call for more than can be counted. The Silverton and Manchester Township communities are mourning the heartbreaking passing of Ursula Keating, beloved wife of Firefighter/EMT John Keating. Ursula’s loss, shared publicly four days ago, has deeply affected friends, neighbors, and the extended fire service family who knew her for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family.

Ursula will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Community members have expressed their condolences, asking others to keep John and his family close in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate this devastating time. Loved ones say they hope the Keating family finds comfort in the memories they shared and in the support surrounding them.

John Keating—described as a pillar of the Silverton Fire House and a man always willing to lend a helping hand—is now facing unimaginable loss.
