Flowers Foods, Inc. issued a voluntary recall on Oct. 31 for Tastykake cupcakes shipped in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia.
According to the FDA, a vendor alerted the corporation to the possibility of contamination in a provided ingredient, which prompted the recall.
There have been no injuries recorded as a result of the recall.
Customers should not ingest these products and should instead destroy them or return them to the store for a full refund.
