Cupcakes Sold at Target and Walmart Stores in New Jersey are Being Recalled because They May Contain Metal Mesh Wire Fragments, According to the FDA

Recall Alert

According to the Food and Drug Administration, cupcakes sold by big-box shops such as Target and Walmart in New Jersey may contain metal mesh wire particles.

Flowers Foods, Inc. issued a voluntary recall on Oct. 31 for Tastykake cupcakes shipped in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia.

According to the FDA, a vendor alerted the corporation to the possibility of contamination in a provided ingredient, which prompted the recall.

There have been no injuries recorded as a result of the recall.

Customers should not ingest these products and should instead destroy them or return them to the store for a full refund. Flowers' Consumer Relations Center can be reached at 1-866-245-8921 if you have any questions.
