On Thursday morning, a cold front will cause the winds to move to the northwest, with daytime gusts of up to 25 mph.

As the front passes over the region on Wednesday, the showers will stop, and Thursday will be breezy but dry.

Friday is expected to be mostly dry with gusts of up to 20 mph from the northwest.

Another chance of rain is expected on Saturday due to a storm system moving in from the south, though the amount of precipitation that New Jersey may receive is highly unpredictable.

While some weather guidance models retain the low-pressure system weaker and farther to the south, others move it closer to the state, creating a broader rain shield.

Over the weekend, temperatures will be much below average; Saturday is predicted to be the coldest day, with highs in the mid-50s.

With largely sunny skies and highs in the upper 50s to mid-60s, Sunday and Monday are predicted to be mostly dry.

Because astronomical tides rise when a full moon approaches, residents close to the Jersey Shore should be advised that moderate coastal flooding may occur during high tide cycles on Wednesday and Thursday evening along vulnerable shoreline locations.
