Family Dollar and Dollar Tree Announce Closure of 1,000 Stores. Which Stores Will Close in NJ?

According to Dollar Tree, Inc., the parent firm of Family Dollar and Dollar Tree announced that almost 1,000 of their stores would close.

In its results report for the fourth fiscal quarter of 2023, Dollar Tree, Inc. disclosed the anticipated closures. The company estimated that around 600 Family Dollar stores will close this year, and an additional 370 Family Dollar and 30 Dollar Tree locations will close over the course of the following few years.

Which Dollar Tree stores will close permanently has not yet been disclosed.

In the US, Family Dollar has over 8,000 locations, while Dollar Tree has over 15,000 locations nationwide.

The firm made the statement late last year after announcing that it would evaluate and optimize its portfolio to find underperforming outlets that may be closed, moved, or rebranded.

The closures come after a string of well-known businesses, including Rite Aid, The Body Shop, and Macy's, closed their stores in recent months.
