Fatal Collision: Woman Dies After Being Hit by Two Cars in NJ

Late on Saturday night, two cars struck and killed a 41-year-old Trenton woman on Olden Avenue, according to Ewing Police.

At 10:09 p.m., officers arrived. According to a press statement from the Ewing Township Police Department, a pedestrian was hit by a car in the vicinity of Olden Avenue and Sixth Street.

A 21-year-old Egg Harbor resident was driving a Toyota Tacoma north on Olden Avenue in the curb lane when it collided with a pedestrian who was also in the northbound curb lane, according to preliminary investigations.
A second car, an Acura TSX driven by a 39-year-old Trenton resident, struck the pedestrian while it was in the northbound passing lane.

Krystle Tomlin, 41, of Trenton, was identified as the pedestrian. Emergency Medical Technicians and paramedics declared her dead at the site.

While investigators worked with the Mercer County Department of Transportation, Olden Avenue was blocked in both directions between Fifth Street and Prospect Street.

According to authorities, both drivers stayed on the site and are assisting with the investigation.

The crash is still being looked into. Officer Jon Bag #205 can be reached at 609-882-1313, Ext. 7806, if you have any information.
