Todd Caverly shares Inspirational
statement on Facebook

In a heartbreaking tribute posted on Facebook, his grieving father,
Todd Caverly, wrote “Your world can be forever changed in a second,
with no warning, and no second chance.”

You don't know, what you don't know.

That goes both ways.

You think that you know something, until that experience is so far surpassed that you realize that you knew nothing. That what you thought that you knew, or had experienced, barely scratched the surface of what was, or could be.

Way #1. To think that I had, or knew, what hurt was. I was blessed and protected more than I could comprehend.

Way#2. love and comfort. Last night we went to prayer meeting at West Rockport Baptist Church.

Since covid prayer meeting has struggled to be even what it was before. We have had a few people, and struggled to get deeper than the surface in the time there. last night we (myself, Angela Caverly, Carl Caverly, Sophie Caverly, Helen Caverly she was in youth group and totally surrounded, and Jon Munroe), we shocked at the mercy of God. There were probably 80-100 people there. So many friends. Multiple churches. All hurting with us. All praying for each other, supporting us, and praying for the glory of God in this unimaginable situation.

I am drawn to Romans 12. In verses 9-10 we see "Let love be genuine. ... Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor." and in V 15 "Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. "We have already heard and seen so many ways in which God is using this tragedy for His glory. Tales of news reports talking about faith in Jesus Christ, or someone hearing a news report, and asking questions about their own mortality. We rejoice in that, though right now it does not make it easier. Please continue to share those.

Also, Eric Brown, has agreed to put together a file of news stories for us to see later (I am not ready to see them now, even if they are awesome). Many of you have been contacted by news.

If you are led to share something about Levi Caverly, to the glory of our merciful God, please do.
