Frosty Monday Morning in New Jersey Before a Big November Warm-Up

NEW JERSEY — New Jersey is waking up to a chilly Monday morning, with areas of frost possible in parts of the state before sunshine and milder temperatures take over later in the day.

A Frost Advisory remains in effect for portions of New Jersey early Monday morning, with temperatures dipping to around freezing in some locations. The National Weather Service warns that frost could damage sensitive outdoor plants, particularly in colder areas.

Sunshine Arrives Monday

The cold start will not last long. Skies will become mostly sunny Monday, with temperatures climbing into the mid-to-upper 60s across much of New Jersey.

For the Jersey Shore and Ocean County, Monday is expected to bring a noticeably milder afternoon following the chilly morning. Winds will generally remain light, helping create comfortable conditions once temperatures rise.

The warm-up will continue Tuesday, when temperatures are expected to approach 70 degrees in many areas. Wednesday could be even warmer, with highs reaching the low to mid-70s.

Mild Weather Through Much of the Week

The first week of November is shaping up to be unusually mild, with high pressure keeping conditions mostly dry and sunny through the middle of the week.

The latest forecast calls for:

Monday: Patchy morning frost, then mostly sunny with highs in the mid-to-upper 60s

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and mild, with temperatures near 70 degrees

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and warm, with highs in the low to mid-70s

Thursday: Increasing clouds with showers possible

Friday: Showers likely, with temperatures remaining mild
