Rachel is a 43 year old single mother who suffered a tragedy on Wednesday night. She suffered a stroke in the left main artery of her brain causing damage to the right side of her body. She was airlifted to RWJ for emergency brain surgery which caused brain bleeding. She is currently in the acute ICU ward, intubated and has machines breathing for her.
Rachel is a mom, works as a Juvenile Correction Officer at the Ocean County Juvenile Dept and is a Gold Star Sister. She has a son who is absolutely devastated and left to take care of their home life. Rachael has never had it easy, but she's always positive. She lost her only sibling, her brother, in Iraq but stayed the course and gave her son a loving home to grow in while always being there for family and friends. Rachel is a fighter, but she needs our help.
Her immediate needs are to keep a roof over their heads, utilities on, and food in the fridge. Rachel has a long road to recovery in front of her. She will need an extensive stay at a rehab, followed by physical challenges that will change her life forever. We are asking for your help to help her recover and heal by taking the financial stress of daily bills away from her. We could never repay Rachel for the sacrifices she had made for our country, but any donation you can make will be a small thank you from not only a friend but from a grateful nation.
