Two Males Spotted in Security Photographs From the Store that was Robbed Tuesday are Wanted by Toms River Police

Toms River police are looking for two males who punched a convenience store worker in the face before robbing the store on Tuesday night.

According to Jillian Messina, a public relations specialist for the Toms River Police Department, two men entered the business at the corner of Cox Cro Road and Lakewood Road at 9 p.m. Tuesday, January 18th, got behind the counter, and began striking the clerk.

They forced him to open the register after punching him in the face numerous times, then grabbed the money from the register before fleeing the store, according to Messina.

She stated that the quantity of money seized was not mentioned.

Pleasant Plains EMS evaluated the clerk and transported him to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood for further treatment, according to Messina.

The two men are described as thin white men, about 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, she said.

Anyone who can identify the men in the surveillance photos is asked to call Detective Ryan Quinn of the Toms River Police Department at 732-349-0150, ext. 1361.
