According to the New Jersey State Police, nine persons were injured Tuesday when their Jeep collided with a tanker truck and a Volvo on the Garden State Parkway.
According to Trooper Brandi Slota, a State Police spokesperson, the incident occurred around 5:11 p.m. Tuesday near milepost 84.9.
According to Slota, the Jeep was traveling northbound on the parkway when the driver "lost directional control" and impacted the Volvo first, then the tanker.
According to the trooper, all nine victims were transferred to a neighboring hospital.
On Tuesday evening, there was no word on their status.
