From Wednesday night through Thursday, a slow-moving storm system will bring showers and sporadic thunderstorms to New Jersey. By early next week, there could be a sudden warmup that raises temperatures into the 90s.
According to the
National Weather Service, Tuesday night will be dry with clear sky, mild winds, and nighttime temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Wednesday's weather is expected to be moderate, with highs in the low 70s. However, winds from the south will intensify throughout the afternoon, with gusts of 20 to 25 mph possible, especially in the state's southern and coastal regions.
By Wednesday night, scattered showers of rain are predicted to reach northern and western New Jersey, with the remainder of the state seeing rain from Wednesday night until Thursday morning.

Although they do not anticipate severe weather with destructive gusts, forecasters warn isolated thunderstorms are possible Wednesday evening.
As the storm system remains over the area, Thursday will be colder with highs barely in the 60s. Unsettling conditions with more showers may continue throughout the day.
As the storm moves out on Friday, the weather will get better, though there is still a chance of an isolated shower.
According to the weather service, Saturday is the start of a major warmup, with high temperatures throughout the state reaching the mid-70s to mid-80s. However, coastal areas will be colder because of southerly winds off the ocean.
