To know Leyla is to love Leyla. Leyla and my daughter Taylor met at CJA and have been best friends since they were 8 Years old.

Leyla is one of the funniest kids you will ever meet. She can talk to anyone and lights up a room.

Leyla is an athlete who has cheered all over the country. Leyla is a friend to so many. She is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.

She genuinely is a great kid! Leyla was suffering from headaches which led to an MRI showing a Brain tumor. Leyla was brought to the ER at CHOP and taken for Brian surgery then next day.

The Neurosurgeon was able to remove the entire tumor but we still wait on Biopsy results. Leyla’s parents both work in our school systems with Laura being a Teacher.

They have two other children at home Leyla’s older sister Sienna and little brother Tony.

Leyla is a kid that is a part of everyone’s family. She is my bonus child and I would do anything for her.

Let’s help her family in this very stressful time financially so they can focus on their daughter’s recovery and not have to worry about how the bills are paid.

Updates

Leyla’s tumor came back as an Ependymoma and positive for Cancerous cells.

However the entire tumor was removed during surgery. This type of tumor can only grow in the Central Nervous System which is the brain and spine.

Further testing needs to be done to tell if any part of Leyla’s spine was affected as well.

Leyla will be returning to CHOP in two weeks for a MRI of her Spine. Leyla also needs to have a Spinal tap/Lumbar Puncture to test the spinal fluid.

The treatment plan regardless of anymore testing is Radiation to prevent any re-growth anywhere. Leyla will receive treatment 5 days a week for 6 weeks.

Please continue to pray the results from testing on her Spine is negative.
