Grisly Discovery: Body Found in Vehicle Trunk in Ocean County
According to the Ocean County Prosecutors Office, the Lakewood Township Police Department was notified on February 28, 2024, at about 12:13 p.m., about an unconscious male found inside a car that was parked near Fairview Court in Lakewood Township. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered a dead man's body.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Lakewood Township Police Department, Manchester Township Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit are currently investigating this matter.
“This remains an active and ongoing investigation. There is no known danger to the public, and additional information will be released when it becomes available,” Prosecutor Billhimer stated.
