Halloween Forecast

Over the weekend, the Northeast will have a summerlike warmup, but the pleasant weather won't last for trick-or-treaters.

New Jersey's weather is projected to stay warm and dry throughout the week, with highs in the mid-70s through Friday. As the week goes on, the temperature will rise steadily, with highs of up to 20 degrees above average for late October.

Sunday is predicted by the National Weather Service to be sunny with a high of up to 80 degrees. In New Jersey, the typical high temperature in late October is in the low 60s.

But the temperatures will soon revert to the average for the season. Accuweather's forecasters predict a "notable drop" in temperature early next week due to a cold front.

The high will be in the upper 60s by Monday, and by Tuesday the temperature will only have risen to the mid-50s. On October 31st the night is predicted to be cold and dry. Tuesday night lows will fall into the 30s. According to the present prediction, dry conditions are anticipated.
