The holiday interferes with regular trash and recycling pickups.
The public works department and the offices of Toms River Township will be CLOSED on Thanksgiving in observance of the holiday.
Due to this, neither garbage nor recycling will be collected, and the
Recycling Convenience Center will be shut down.
After Wednesday, all regularly scheduled garbage and recycling pickups are delayed by one day, with Friday's rubbish collections being picked up on Saturday.
Bulk pickups for Wednesday and Thursday garbage collection areas will all be picked up on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
Extra recycling collection will take place on Wednesday.
Although the Recycling Convenience Center will be open on Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Public Works office will be closed on Friday as well.
