Hazardous trash collection is being held by Ocean County on two forthcoming dates if you've spent some of your summer painting your house and property and are unsure what to do with the remains.

On October 8, there will be a collection in Toms River. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Fraternal Order of Police parking lot at 1791 North Bay Avenue, which is north of Church Road.

Prior registration is required, and only households may bring goods to the hazardous garbage pickup; no commercial or business waste will be accepted.

A driver's license or a tax bill serving as proof of residency is necessary.
