Crystal Caruso is organizing this fundraiser.
We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of a beloved son, brother, partner, and friend, Alexis Gonzalez (19). Alexis was an artist, a climber, and beloved by many.
He was known at the rock climbing gym as both a loyal employee and a strong climber that welcomed beginners with open arms, taught kids and adults alike with charm and patience, and made everyone's day better.
A lifelong artist, Alexis enjoyed sketching, painting, graphic novels, Lego creations, and tattoo artistry. Alexis was a lover of old music, including 80's classics and Argentinian music, and always played the Guardians of the Galaxy playlist at the climbing gym. Alexis brought light with him everywhere he went, a light that will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
Alexis's mother Eva, father Gustavo, sister Nikki, and partner Vy Vy are most deeply impacted by their loss. Alexis was deeply loved by these 4 kind humans and their love for Alexis will live in memoriam. Donations to this page will contribute to viewing and memorial services organized by Alexis's loved ones, as well as continued support for them through this difficult time. Alexis also dreamt of traveling the world, and we hope that any additional donations beyond expectation keep his dream alive.
We will be honoring Alexis’s life on two occasions:
Thursday November 9th with a viewing service from 2:00pm-6:00pm, at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, Brick NJ, 08723.
Saturday November 11th, starting with a memorial service from 4:00pm-6:00pm on the beach behind Jenkinson's Aquarium in Point Pleasant Beach NJ, 08742.
(Parking for the beach memorial will be at Jenkinson's Aquarium, and the large lot on Arnold Ave).
We will continue to celebrate his life promptly after at The Gravity Vault Brick at 6:30pm to climb in his honor.
Alexis's loved ones STRICTLY ask that attendees for both services do not come dressed in mourning blacks, but rather white tops & brown, green, or blue bottoms,
In honor of the light that Alexis continues to exude, and the elements of nature in which he found comfort in.
Dress code: white tops, & brown, green, or blue bottoms.
The use of cellphones will be prohibited during both services, in hopes that we may all be fully present in remembering Alexis.
