In Memory of Kristen Elizabeth Eckman

OBITUARY Kristen Elizabeth Eckman March 26, 1976 – August 3, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kristen, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and free spirit who touched the lives of so many.

Kristen was born in New Jersey to Linda and William Eckman and, at just one year old, moved with her family to upstate New York. It was there that she developed her lifelong love of soccer, horses, music, and all things nature. From an early age, Kristen had a curious and adventurous spirit and a deep appreciation for the beauty and freedom of the outdoors.

Kristen lived life on her own terms. She walked the Appalachian Trail, traveled to Gambia, Africa, and backpacked across Europe—always seeking new experiences, places, and adventures. Her free spirit and love of exploration were a true reflection of who she was.

Kristen attended Green Mountain College in Vermont and the DuCret School of Art in South Plainfield, New Jersey, where she continued to nurture her creativity and artistic talents.

For more than 20 years, Kristen called Maine home. She eventually returned to New Jersey, where she followed her entrepreneurial spirit and started her own house-painting business, KEE House Painting.

Kristen is survived by her loving parents, Linda and William Eckman; her brother, Billy; her sister-in-law, Danielle; her nieces and nephews; and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves behind her two beloved cats, Linka and Munchy, who were an important part of her life.

Kristen will be remembered for her adventurous heart, independent spirit, creativity, love of nature, and the many lives she touched along the way. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
