Susan “Sue” Kusztyb Obituary

Susan Marie (Sue) Kusztyb, 58, of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away on September 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born in South Amboy, New Jersey, to Jill and George Brown on February 24, 1968. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Toms River, where she was raised. She attended Toms River High School North and graduated in 1986.

Susan went on to work in several roles devoted to caring for others, ultimately finding her home away from home at Kessler Rehabilitation, where she served as Office Manager for more than 20 years. Sue will always be remembered for her caring, compassionate, loving, and selfless demeanor. Anyone whose life she touched will love and miss her deeply.

Sue is survived by her husband, Tony Kusztyb; sister, Lori Silverman; brother, Luke McGirr; son, John Squires; granddaughter, Melody, who was the light of her life; her nieces and nephew, David, Mandi, Cynthia, Stacy, and Julie, along with her stepchildren, Anthony, Mallory, Brianne, Alannah plus all her extended family who loves her very much.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Jill, Father George, stepmother Debbie, and brother Kenny.

Visitation was held at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, October 1st, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
