Around 4:08 PM Lakewood Police received a phone call for a working structure fire at 133 Ocean Ave, called in by an off-duty LPD Officer.

C-1 quickly arrived on the scene and took command. E-5 started to stretch a 2.5 to get water on the fire, intense fire conditions and smoke were showing from the large vacant building.

C-1 quickly upgraded it to the second alarm at this point to bring in mutual aid for the township. C-1 called for defensive fire ops due to the fire load inside the building.

E-5 charged the 2.5 and got water on the fire in minutes while heavy fire and smoke conditions were still showing.
